COVID-19 Tech Support: free for non-profits and communities

Code4Covid has harnessed the generosity of techies to support non-profit organisations. Check them out if you're part of a group that offers coronavirus-related services.

Covid-19 Tech Support is a helpdesk backed by Code4Covid, a group of over 1000 tech volunteers which offers free support for non-profit organisations and communities during these difficult times. They find technology solutions to problems caused by COVID-19, believing that technology can minimise the disruption that the pandemic has brought about.

From IT requests for mutual aid groups to organising tech teams to build COVID-19 projects, they want to remove technical obstacles and pressure during this difficult time. They support community groups by using their extremely skilled volunteers, many with backgrounds at big name companies such as Google, Facebook and Microsoft, to provide tech talent to those who need it. So far they have helped with over 150 queries and 50 projects by working with charities across the UK, building websites and supporting mutual aid groups nationwide.

They are looking for developers, designers, project managers and everything in between to help out. You can join the community of skilled tech geniuses by filling out their tech volunteers form. They match each talented volunteer to the COVID-related projects, charities and non-profits their skill set is best suited for.

If you’re a community group helping stop the spread of COVID-19 and you could use tech support, get in touch by completing a request for tech form on the COVID-19 Tech support’s website and a member of the team will get in touch either by email or phone to help you out.
