Hear from our guest speaker Kate Gilbert, a professional speaking coach and has been working with many businesses and individuals for over seven years teaching public speaking. She trained as an actor and taught acting in schools for many years before teaching Public Speaking to hundreds of young people and then training the teachers. She now works with individuals and companies training their staff in presenting online and in person. Kate has worked with CEOs of global corporate businesses as well as start-ups, entrepreneurs and performers to enhance their skills and break through their fear. Her clients include SKY, Manchester Jazz Festival, The London School of Economics, The Black Curriculum, E-Assessment and government funded NCS. She brings together her love of writing, performance and the voice to help others to create impactful and engaging talks and presentations. She has a holistic and intuitive approach to her unique sessions and a sense of fun to something that could otherwise be quite frightening.

Before working as a speaking coach, Kate founded a theatre company and for many years produced and toured her own plays. She has worked in television, radio and theatre as an actor and taught LAMDA acting and public speaking in many schools. In 2017 she co-founded a company called the Creative Learning Hub, funded by the NHS, bringing mental health and wellbeing into mainstream education.
