Award-winning The Cronx Brewery officially one of the best in the country

Congrats to our local independent microbrewery, a much-loved part of the Croydon scene.

At the risk of perpetuating tech bro / hipster stereotypes, we count having two independent microbreweries in and around Croydon – The Cronx Brewery in town and Coalition Brewing down the road – among the many cultural highlights that help make Croydon a great place for tech workers (as part of a diverse arts and culture offering that includes some world-beating non-drinking options too!)

So we are pleased to share the news that The Cronx Brewery recently scooped their second award, taking home Silver in the prestigious SIBA National Independent Beer Awards. They were being judged in the British dark beer category, for their porter brew, Entire – “a dark beer with loads of chocolate, coffee and roasted notes”.

This comes hot on the heels of winning Gold in the regional awards last year.

Mark Russell from The Cronx Brewery said:

“We are absolutely delighted. A great credit has to go to everyone behind the scenes at the brewery. We love our Porter and it always gets amazing feedback from customers at The Cronx Bar. If you haven’t already tasted a dark beer, make sure you check out Entire, now officially one of the best in the country!”

Under normal circumstances, you’ll find the Cronx Bar in Boxpark by East Croydon station – and  during lockdown you can order direct from thecronx.com/shop
