Natterbox’s “big growth trajectory” continues with £7.5m equity funding
Croydon-based telecoms and customer service innovator begins next phase of its impressive growth
Natterbox announced last month that it has secured £7.5m of growth equity funding from Octopus Development Capital.
Natterbox – the world’s first global business phone system managed entirely within Salesforce – is headquartered in Croydon’s iconic No. 1 Croydon tower (known locally as “the 50p building”), with a growing customer base including Groupon, Legal and General, Fruit of the Loom and Virgin Wines.
Since Octopus’s initial investment in 2018, Natterbox has grown significantly, opening offices in both Sydney and Chicago. Last year, it doubled its client list and launched two new products: its Freedom interface, which gives users the ability to work from anywhere on any device, and Natterbox for Remote Workers, which can set up new users in as little as 15 minutes.
The high growth UK scale-up will use this latest investment of growth capital to support its continued global expansion, strengthen its sales and marketing operations, and further invest in its customer success and product development teams.
Neil Hammerton, CEO and Co-Founder of Natterbox said:
“We’re on a big growth trajectory; last year was the best one yet for Natterbox. This funding round will enable us to expand and offer new, enhanced products and services that continue to drive new standards in customer experience.”
Richard Court, Head of Development Capital at Octopus Investments said:
“Natterbox is perfectly primed to build on its successes to-date. We look forward to supporting the next stage of its exciting journey.”
