Launching Tech Stack Croydon

Announcing Tech Stack Croydon, a brand new event for software development and operations people.

We are excited to be hosting our very first Tech Stack Croydon event at Sussex Innovation, Croydon, on the 30th of April.

Tech Stack Croydon is a new event for software development and operations people who want to learn from and engage with other DevOps engineers in the Croydon area. This will be a perfect chance for South London’s tech-savvy code and infrastructure crowd to come together, share stories, get inspired and forge new connections with other like-minded DevOps people.

This exciting inaugural event will be held on 30 April 2019 at 6pm – 9pm, hosted at The Sussex Innovation Centre, No.1 Croydon, 12-16 Addiscombe Road, CR0 0XT (right next to East Croydon Station).

The venue offers easy access with frequent fast trains running from Victoria, London Bridge and Clapham Junction and is also serviced by the tram & bus network, as well as being only a 10 minute walk from West Croydon station. The building has wheelchair access.

The evening will involve a chance to network and interact with like-minded DevOps people, as well as give you the chance to listen to 2 very insightful and experienced speakers covering the topics of “What should wake you up at night…” and “Protecting your IP”. Refreshments will be provided in the form of pizza (any vegans please let us know in advance), beer, wine and soft drinks.

Our fantastic guest speakers on the night will be:

Bob Walker:

Bob has been doing DevOps since before it was called DevOps and has been doing on call longer than that. Bob is currently working at dxw as a Senior Operations Engineer but has been the Supreme Ruler of the YAML engineers at the UK Government Digital Service and has been on call for GOV.UK

Bob will be speaking about “What should wake you up at night..” where Bob will run through how to encourage software staff to be on call.

Jacqueline Watts:
