Our next event: selling to government

Find out how to best to approach selling to the public sector.

We had a lot of fun at our first Croydon Digital event before Christmas, which introduced Neil and his plans for the Croydon Digital Service to the local tech community.

We wanted to follow up with something really useful to the businesses that make up this community, and so it wasn’t too hard to hit upon the topic of selling to government. The event is taking place at the Sussex Innovation Centre in Croydon (thanks to them for sponsoring!) on Tuesday 26th February at 5pm.

If you’d like to sign up to attend the event, you can do so on the Eventbrite page here.

This is a subject close to the hearts of many a tech company, both startups and more established businesses, and whilst the public sector has something of a reputation of being somewhat bureaucratic when it comes to procurement, things are getting much better.

We have lined up some fantastic speakers to enlighten the Croydon tech community on how best to approach selling to the public sector.

These include:

    • Neil Williams – Croydon Council’s Chief Digital Officer – @neillyneil on Twitter
    • Mary McKenna – founder and investor in technology companies serving the public sector – @mmarymckenna on Twitter
    • Chris Farthing – MD of Advice Cloud, the UK’s leading public sector technology procurement agency – @a_c_chris on Twitter
    • Rob Miller – Director for ICT and Digital at Hackney Council – @robmiller31 on Twitter.

I’ll be around too, if you fancy a chat!

Do sign up – and tell everyone you know who might have even the slightest interest! We look forward to meeting you all there.
